Materials
What We're Made Of
Every material in Valdori was chosen because it's the best available.
Mazzucchelli Acetate
In 1849 a small mill opened in Varese, Italy. Mazzucchelli became the global standard for premium acetate - chosen by the world's leading eyewear houses for 175 years.
Acetate is not plastic. Each sheet is pressed from cellulose over days. The color runs through the entire material. It warms to your skin, polishes rather than scratches, and improves with age.

Zeiss Polarized Lenses
Carl Zeiss opened his optical workshop in Jena, Germany in 1846. Since then Zeiss optics have appeared in surgical microscopes, space telescopes, and the cameras in your pocket.
Every Valdori lens is polarized CR-39, the optical gold standard for fashion eyewear. Polarization blocks horizontally aligned reflected light: the glare off water, roads, and glass without darkening your vision. The result is clearer sight, richer color, and less eye fatigue over a long day.

UV400 Protection
Every Valdori lens blocks the complete UVA and UVB spectrum. The only standard that provides complete protection for long term eye health.
Handcrafted in Italy
Each frame passes through a multi-stage production process refined over 50 years of Italian manufacturing. Cut, shaped, heated, bent, then polished mechanically and by hand until the surface meets a standard that takes days.
